Golf tends to put people in a lane. Equipment reps stay in equipment. Teaching pros stay on the range. Club managers stay in the clubhouse. Matt Gilbert never stayed in one lane.

He studied Business Management with an emphasis on Golf Complex Management at the Golf Academy of America in San Diego, and holds advanced certifications in instruction, club fitting, and repair. The degree came early. The experience never stopped.

Over a decade as TaylorMade's lead experiential rep across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and western Massachusetts put him inside hundreds of facilities, with additional OEM work spanning Ping, Nike, Srixon, and Cleveland. He watched operations run well, and more often, watched them quietly fall apart.

From there, he moved into club governance: chaired membership committees, led head pro searches, designed membership programs, and built operating systems from scratch under real deadline pressure. That range of experience across every corner of the golf business is what ClearBridge Golf & Hospitality is built on.
